My name is Brian and this is my Swimming Pool Blog!

A while back when I first had my 24′ above ground pool installed in my backyard up here in Northeast Pennsylvania, I thought it would be pretty easy to maintain and all would be good. However, I quickly learned that maintaining proper water chemical levels and cleaning everything was taking up a LOT of my time and it was hard to enjoy the pool. I decided to automate and simplify as much as I could and one of the things I chose to automate was the removal of water from the pool cover during the off months (which up here runs about September thru May.) Rain storms would pelt us every other week and soon enough my pool cover was being stressed by the amount of water and debris sitting on it. Not to mention, the massive amount of leaves from the Locust trees situated right near the pool. I had to do something!!

This blog is about my experience in finding the right pool cover pump and how it helped take something that was manual and make it automatic. No more cleaning the pool cover……..no more manual draining with cheap plastic pumps……..no more buying brand new pool covers each year…….I had enough!  And since I’m just like you and spend a lot of money on other things related to the big round (or oval or square) thing with water in it that the kids swim in, this blog is also about filling you in on my trials and tribulations with pool pumps, filters, skimmers, chemicals, the BBB Method and just about anything else related to owning a pool.

I’ll do my best to tell you what I know about pool cover pumps, equipment and chemicals and where to find the best deals online (as that’s where you’ll get the best deals!)

So, I hope you like my super-honest reviews and please email me if you have any questions or need some help on pool cover pumps or really anything to do with Above Ground or In ground Pools. Just zip on over to my contact page (link at the top of this page) and send me a note. I read every email and will respond just as soon as I can.

Enjoy!
